MicroLED is the latest direction of the industry's screen technology. Compared with OLED, its LED unit is less than 100μm, which solves the problem of burn-in screen and has a longer life. At the same time, the module thickness can be thinner, lower power consumption, brightness, screen response time, resolution, and display effects are far superior to OLED.
Samsung, LG, TSMC, etc. have shifted the focus of their next technology exploration to MicroLED. At SID Display Week in June, Jade Bird Display (JBD) from Hong Kong showed the world's brightest MicroLED display, up to 1 million nits (nits is the unit of brightness, 1nit = 1 cd/m2) with a resolution of 2560x1920.
